This article explains how to set up KNX ETS to use Nice blinds to synchronise their up and down movement. For example, if the blinds are in different positions, the blind in the furthest position away from the required direction will start moving first, once it meets the other blind they will synchronise and move together.
Within the DMBM web interface you will need to set up scenes for synchro up and synchro down separately. Below shows the Scenes section.
Here is an example of the Down (Synchro) scene:
Make sure that you ensure the delay setting (21 in the above screenshot) is 3-4 seconds longer than the longest movement time of a blind in the group. Say there are 3 blinds and they are 5, 10 and 15 seconds in movement, then make sure to set the delay to around 19 seconds. You can check the movement time for each blind in "Devices > Edit (pencil) > Settings > Speed Mode > Time of Move" of the webUI. Set the schedule as appropriate.
In ETS you will use the DMKNX product file (name ERA INN) to manage connectivity with the DMBM. This file is attached and should be copied in to a project.
You will then need to import an XML file from DMBM into ETS. To export your settings, go to the DMBM web interface and select "System > DMBM Integration > Export XML for DMKNX". This will create a txt file, you can rename it to a .xml file or leave it as it is for now.
In your KNX account via MyKNX, you will need to go to the ETS App store and download the following app under your KNX account. This is a free app. Then select the "Download App" option.
In ETS, go to "Settings > ETS Apps > + install App"' and select the app file you downloaded. You can then close this window and continue with your ETS project.
This will have added a completely new tab named "DCA" to your ERA Inn device's properties page.
Select Import configuration file (XML) and select the file you exported from the DMBM web interface. Bear in mind if you didn't rename it to a .xml file you will need to select "All files" as the file type filter to see it.
This will import your settings, you can then select "Apply Settings". This will introduce the Scenes objects as available group objects.
Assign an appropriate function and group address to these objects. For example, a button to activate on press that will turn the scene on (synchro up or down). If you refer back to the DMBM Scene page you will see which scene will activate which synchro direction.
This will then function as expected.
