IR within AVProEdge solutions

We often are asked about the specification and setup of IR within AVProEdge solutions

The IR output voltage for AVPro products is standardized at 5 volts - so IR emitters that are connected should be 5V

IR Receivers (an IR Eye) should also be 5V as that is the voltage that will be output to power the eye

In the event you are connecting a control system or IR system to the IR IN of an AVProEdge product - the IR input stages may safely accomodate up to 20V - please check the user manual of the AVProEdge device you are working with to configure the IR Inputs appropriately (whether using an IR Eye or the IPass feature)
