How to improve switching times when you have mixed HDCP sources
If you have some none HDCP sources and some HDCP sources or even sources that are mixed between 1.4 and 2.2 then switching between sources can be slow as the display takes a while to renegotiate the HDMI handshake and switch between the various flavours of HDCP each time you switch source. This is not MXNET as MXNet switches instantly, it is the display causing the delay.
We can speed this up by making it easier for the display by forcing HDCP 2.2 or indeed 1.4 on the decoder connection to the didsplay so that version of HDCP does not change when you switch between sources.
This can be done very easily on the mentor GUI under Configure and go to the Decoder tab.
Obviously, this assumes all your displays can handle HDCP 2.2. If some of them are 1.4 then try forcing to 1.4.
